The new year's concert from Vienna is a must for me, broadcast by PBS. I was not much impressed by some selections played this year, especially a tribute to Richard Wagner, and a silly set of variations on a children's ditty. However, I still enjoyed hearing the magnificent orchestra in the impressive hall of the storied Musikverein.
