5 - 9 December 2012
performance Toronto 8 December 2012
with Greta Hodgkinson (Giselle), Guillaume Côté (Albrecht), Piotr Stanczyk (Hilarion), Heather Ogden (Myrtha, Queen of the Wilis)
The evening's performance was colourful, moving, and at times wonderfully ethereal. Greta Hodgkinson's Giselle was infused with intense pathos matched in depth of feeling and technical skill by Guillaume Côté's Albrecht. Piotr Stanczyk was a striking Hilarion in the second act where Heather Ogden's implacable Myrtha raged. It was a night for standing ovation.
